Colorized Footage of New York City’s Waterfront in the 1940s
The New York City skyline has changed tremendously over the decades and footage shot from the Hudson River in the 1940s definitely proves that. To make it even more interesting, the footage has been colorized and sound has been added to give viewers a feel for what the Big Apple looked like all those years ago.
The original video footage was in black and white and contained scenes from San Francisco and New York. You can watch it HERE.
Video restorer NASS colorized the footage. Follow them on YouTube to see more of their great projects where history comes alive.
