Unbelievable and Immature Roommates
I recently moved into my college hostel, and my roommates are making my life an absolute nightmare.
This due to a total lack of boundaries and basic maturity. I used to get a healthy night of sleep by 11:00 PM after closing my dad’s store.
But these guys stay up all night blast-playing mobile games like Free Fire with loud gunshots.
They also take phone calls at 1:00 am and even weep loudly for hours over relationship drama.
When I politely asked them to keep the noise down, one roommate completely overreacted.
They repeated the noise on purpose and claimed I was discriminating against him.
This young man’s living condition was unbearable, thanks to his roommates.
To make matters worse, that same kid is in my college class and sits right next to me.
He constantly yells, swears during phone calls, and interrupts lectures to the point that both I and the professors are completely annoyed.
Yet he lacks any accountability, acts like a victim, and claims the faculty is “targeting” him.
On top of the noise and classroom disruptions, our living conditions are unbearable.
He is completely overwhelmed with stress and doesn’t know how to deal with them.
They treat our shared room like a total dumpster by throwing clothes, biscuit wrappers, and candy packages all over the floor.
Worse, they frequently sit on my bed with their dirty feet, forcing me to clean off the grime every single night just to lie down.
Between the complete lack of hygiene and the severe sleep deprivation, one other roommate only invites me out to take cringe Instagram pictures of them smoking cigarettes.
I am completely overwhelmed with stress. I am literally posting this at 2:00 am.
Seeking some advice from anyone who has survived a situation like this.
Living with roommates like that would test anyone’s patience. It’s absolutely understandable why OP feels frustrated and overwhelmed, especially after trying to handle the situation calmly. I think it’s time for him to move to a different hostel and choose better roommates.
