She’s Had Enough of Her Toxic Workplace—Now She’s Ready to Quit

Working for a company that isn’t run well and is full of drama and toxicity is AWFUL.
Every day, the workers are dragged down by uncertainty and, predictably, employees don’t perform well in that kind of environment.
Who would’ve thought?!?!
Yeah, it’s bad news all around.
In today’s story, a woman explained why she is 100% DONE with her job…now she just has to figure out how to quit.
Read on and see what you think.
How do I tell my workplace why I’m leaving while still being professional?
“My job has been incredibly toxic the last few months and I am sending in my letter of resignation today.
To make a very long story short, two new hires started a few months ago, one of which I was tasked with training, and they have been nothing short of disrespectful and combative since.
I tried going to management and HR several times about it and was only retaliated against by everyone involved.
This doesn’t sound good…
Here are a few examples:
New hire one told everyone “white means American, American means white” and when I went to HR, I was the one written up for unprofessionalism instead of her. She had gone on a screaming tangent after I calmly told her to stop and they said this was my fault for “not walking away.
She received absolutely no punishments.
Well, that’s not a good idea…
New hire two (the one I was training) hung up on a client while I was training her. After I calmly told her she was not allowed to do that, she texted me two long paragraphs the following evening about what a horrible person I am.
I said nothing back, just took a screenshot and sent it to hr the next work day, but again they did nothing.
New hire one showed up late every day for the first several weeks, excluding two days in which she did a no call no show.
The one time she finally showed up on time, our manager called her to tell her how proud he was of her and what a great job she did that morning.
I have been here for two years and show up EARLY 9 times out of 10.
What is going on at this place?!?!
New hire two refused to speak to me or acknowledge me at all for a week straight for no apparent reason. I would ask her something, say good morning, ask her if she needed help, etc., and she’d straight up pretend not to see and hear me.
When she finally did start talking to me again, she called me a horrible name.
Again, nothing was done despite me going to HR.
I could on and on with examples, but I think I’ve said enough.
Just get out of there!
My question is, how to nicely tell HR/management why I’m quitting?
I want to tell them it’s because I’m appalled at the atrocious way in which they’ve handled all these situations in more and how deplorably toxic this work environment has become, but I feel like I need to word it more professionally.”

I think that she probably shouldn’t sugarcoat it…
Just be honest about why you’re leaving.
It might do the bosses some good to hear how bad things are for the workers there…
She needs to get out of this work environment as soon as possible!
