The Visual Art of the Music Festival (32 Photos)
In 2015, music festivals have grown in scale and ambition. One day events now span entire weekends, the number of stages have multiplied and attendees want unforgettable experiences that will last a lifetime. While it will always be about the music, visual arts add to the ambience, creating vivid memories and moments that enhance and elevate the experience.
Since 2006, the OSHEAGA Festival Musique et Arts has done just that. Celebrating their 10th anniversary, the Montreal-based festival is one of Canada’s biggest and most internationally recognized. This year’s sold out event welcomed 135,000 guests to Parc Jean-Drapeau with over 65% of attendees coming from outside of the province (Quebec).
I had the opportunity to photograph the event and capture the visual side of Osheaga. Below you will get a taste of some of the fun and fantastic art. I can’t wait for next year’s event which runs from July 29 – 31. You can get more info at the official site.
