While at work, it is important to act professionally and do your best.
What would you do if your coworkers were being very unprofessional in many serious ways, so you reported them to management and got them fired?
That is what happened to the guy in this story, so now the rest of his coworkers hate him for being a snitch.
AITAH I have gotten multiple people fired at my job
So, everyone at work hates me.
Oh boy, what did he say?
I went to my district operations manager and aired out the bad things that’s been happening.
I called out racist comments made by certain people who have bullied my black bestie.
There is a fine line between snitching and reporting real problems.
I also threw my ops manager under the bus. She has been bad mouthing me behind my back to other employees and doesn’t train us like she’s supposed to.
Everyone loves these people and now I am public enemy number one.
Wow, there are a lot of serious problems at this company, all happening around this one guy.
I also got a guy fired a couple months ago for coming in drunk and intimidating me when I politely asked him if he was drinking.
Now two people have been fired because I said something and my boss and her assistant manager are in a lot of trouble.
Speaking up is sometimes good, but it comes with consequences.
Everyone’s acting like I really am awful but I felt convicted to speak up. These issues have been going on for months.
She also cut my hours in half when I started speaking up and then bad mouthed me to others and when I defended myself she wrote me up.
Knowing when to speak up and when to mind your own business is a hard thing to learn.
Am I just a drama starter and stir the pot unnecessarily or am I right for doing this? I’m not the only person who spoke up but all of us have been treated poorly since.
AITH?
There really isn’t enough information here to say for certain. I’d love to hear the other sides of these stories. If things really were this bad, he was not wrong for reporting it, though.
Let’s see what the people in the comments have to say about it.
Doing the right thing can cause problems.

He should look for another job.

The whole place does seem toxic.

Going to HR may be helpful.

It can cause a lot of problems.

Sometimes snitching is the right thing to do.
