So when he couldn’t take it anymore, he finally snapped and yelled at them.

Noisy annoying kids

How do you deal with very noisy kids that live next door?

I believe they are 7 and 4 years old.

When they play outside, I hear them screaming all the time.

This man yelled at the noisy kids.

One afternoon, I had enough.

I was watching TV with the door slightly open for fresh air, and they were screaming.

I cracked and yelled at them, “Shut the eff up,” a few times.

Then, their parents started yelling at me instead of them.

I think they also called the police.

The kids’ parents called the cops instead of telling them to be quiet.

So, instead of disciplining them, they called the cops.

I have not spoken to them before, so didn’t have any dealings with them, so I’m unsure what they are like.

But they seem to not care or have respect for their neighbours.

I have a small house and virtually no backyard, so I can hear everything from neighbours.

Yikes! It’s really easy to be annoyed at noisy kids, especially if you are trying to relax at home.

However, yelling profanity at young children can be too much and is unlikely to improve the situation.

OP should have spoken directly with the parents first. Don’t you think so?
