A toxic workplace can slowly drain even the most hardworking employees.

In this story, a hardworking employee started to have severe anxiety in the workplace.

The company he works for lacks accountability and is filled with drama and gossip.

Despite having a strong work ethic, he feels completely burned out and is now searching for another job.

Have you experienced this situation? Check out the full details below.

This job has taken my soul.

I honestly don’t know how much longer I can do this.

I have extreme anxiety every single day because of this job.

I wake up already dreading going in.

I spend my shifts counting down until I can leave and come home completely mentally and emotionally drained.

This man noticed the lack of accountability in his workplace.

What makes it even worse is the lack of accountability.

There are people who can wander around, disappear, sit on their phones, or otherwise do very little.

While the people who actually care about doing their jobs are left picking up the slack.

Somehow, there never seems to be any real accountability for it.

There was also a lot of drama.

Then there’s the drama. So. Much. Drama.

Everybody talks about everybody. People complain about each other and gossip about each other.

And there always seems to be some kind of tension or issue going on.

It gets exhausting being surrounded by that every day.

I’ve always had a strong work ethic. I show up. I work hard. I do what I’m asked.

I push through even when I’m struggling.

Now, he’s at the point where he wants to switch to another job.

But I’m at the point where I feel like this job has taken everything out of me.

I am actively looking for another job. I’m trying. I really am.

But until I find something, I’m stuck walking back into the place that is making me miserable every day.

I genuinely feel like I’ve reached my limit.

He’s looking for advice and assurance from other people.

Has anyone else gotten to this point?

Where you know you need to leave and you’re desperately trying to find something else.

But you still have to keep showing up every day?

I could really use some reassurance that it gets better.

Some people just want to work without all the drama and politics.

I understand why OP was feeling that way.

Hopefully, he finds a better workplace soon where his hard work is actually appreciated.

Let’s read the responses of other people to this story.

It probably won’t get better, says this one.
