They started complaining about squirrels, trees, and branches near their property line.

They also approached her son while she was away to discuss the yard.

Why just why?

It started in the spring with, “Your bird feeders have peanuts, and the squirrels are taking them from your feeders.

Then, dropping them in my yard. Stop feeding the squirrels!”

I was annoyed and placated him for the past 5 months.

He spent a good month parking so close to the edge of my driveway on the street.

Leaving his driveway empty, and I couldn’t pull into my driveway as a retaliation move, I guess.

This woman learned that her neighbor approached her son in the driveway.

Yesterday, he approached my son, who doesn’t live with me and was in my garage.

He knew I wasn’t home and stated to my son that the fig tree in my yard has several leaves over the fence line.

And the squirrels are dropping the figs in his lawn.

Also, there is another shrub tree on the side of the house that has some branches hanging over the fence line.

If I’m not capable of trimming it, he’ll come in my yard and do it, he said.

She thinks her neighbor was intentionally targeting her.

HOA close houses, 10’ apart. It just got to me.

He knows I’m a single woman, yes. He’s definitely targeting me.

Hence the comment about if I couldn’t do it, he would.

And he purposely spoke to my son knowing I wasn’t home, as my car was not there.

I’m just so over it.

No one is outside much because of the hot weather.

These are not a 100’ tall fig tree or shrub bush with massive limbs over the fence line.

Seriously, I went to move the fig tree in a pot, probably weighs 200 lbs, and probably killed it doing so.

I just broke the damn branches of the shrub bush so they wouldn’t hang over the fence line.

It’s Florida. It’s hot. They’re not outside much. No one is, and this is his life.

Sure, you can trim things on your side of the property here, but again, we’re not talking massive branches.

She feels sad that she had to endure her unfriendly neighbor.

It’s made me sad. It’s made me just so over everything.

I have to live 10 ft from these idiots until I can sell.

And I guess he has nothing else going on in his life but to be a jerk.

I get this is very mild compared to what most people deal with from neighbors.
