She Left A Note On The Car Parked In Her Private Spot — The Driver Yelled Awful Things At Her Husband

Imagine paying extra for a reserved parking spot at your apartment complex. What would you do if someone else parked there?
In this story, one woman was in that situation, and she went to the main office to get a note explaining the situation that she could leave on the car.
You’d think a normal person would see the note, realize the mistake and move the car, but in this case, when the driver saw the note, he got really angry, defensive and mean.
Now, she’s wondering if she should report him. Let’s read the whole story to decide.
AITA for making a complaint about a contract worker renovating the apt. next to mine.
Okay so here’s the story. In my apt. Complex we have paid for assigned parking spots which are a whopping 70 dollars Can. extra each month!
I return home and of course someone is parked in my space , even though right across from my space is 10 free clearly marked visitors spots.
I dont recognize the car, so I head to our main office to get a note stating that this is a private space and the next time the car is here it will be towed at the owners expense.
I return home..park in a visitors spot 😞 and then place the note in the windshield of the car.
They find out whose car it is.
Sidenote…all the while there is a black van with 2 workers inside (I assume on break from working on the unit next to mine) They see the whole thing, say nothing and let me go inside.
So now I happen to live where I can see the parking lot from my unit and as soon as I get up inside, I see one of the men exit the van to head to his car. 🙄
I see him grab the note and start reading it
At this point, my husband says out the window. “Yup, move your car! Visitors parking is right there!” And that’s when it all goes to hell.
The situation escalated quickly.
The contract worker starts yelling at my husband from below our window, calling him a jerk and saying that he’s working in here. (Like that somehow justifies not parking in the visitors spots) and calling him to come outside 😑…
so we both go out there, me to move my car and my husband to confront this entitled worker.
The contract worker then starts ripping up the notice into little pieces like a child, like it was some sort of threat, when really, he was in the wrong and parked where he shouldn’t be.
Words were exchanged between my husband and the contract worker, but the thing thar really got to me is he called him something awful.
She wants to report him.
Now as a POC that was the last straw! Because how dare you?!?
This whole situation was so stupid. How hard would it have been for the contractor when he saw me put the note on his car , to just be like, “oh sorry miss, that’s my car, let me go and park it where I’m supposed to”
So I wanna report him to his company because that kind of language over this is just unexceptable. POC or not.
Now I don’t feel safe at my place. He is in and out of my building working right next door and knows what my car looks like and where I park it. 😒 so AITH? Or is this completely justified?

Yikes! What an awful situation! I’d want to report him too. He really should’ve just realized he parked in the wrong spot and moved his car.

That construction worker was completely out of line! He really overreacted and made a small problem into a much bigger problem. She should definitely report him. I hope he gets fired.
