Disgruntled Worker Fought Back Against His Employer By Sleeping Instead Of Working From Home, And Felt No Guilt

There are a lot of ways to get back at an employer who wrongs you. I’ve held grudges like this and it isn’t healthy.

See why this worker has bad feelings for his coworkers and feels no shame about getting back at them.

I DO NOTHING

Some days, I log on and put myself in a meeting with myself on Teams so I stay active. I log into the phones. Open SAP.

Then go straight back to bed. Or have a shower. Read. Anything but my stupid job.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing this no matter how awful my employer/client was.

Today I pretended my systems didn’t work so I had the day to do other priorities.

I don’t care about bad stats. I don’t care about the people or the company. I just don’t care. I want a redundancy.

I should leave. But I WFH everyday. Can chill with my cats. Be in my pjs. Get paid enough to support myself with no credit cards.

Get paid overtime IF I want to do it.

Turns out they’re pretty awful. I would quit. It still affects your mental health by remaining there.

I just don’t care. Too much BS has happened at this company and directly to me. Eg – team leader verbally abusing me and others through yelling. Really bad yelling.

More has happened of course, but I’m not getting into it. I know it’s bad what I’m doing. But I do not care.

Screw corporate. Screw this company. Screw my manager and team leader and the sales team.

I know I’m not the only one.

Here is what folks are talking about.

This is a healthier way to do this. He sounds depressed. It reminds me of a few angry people I know.

Minus the yelling, I’d definitely take this over micromanagement. I despise it.

My thoughts exactly. Don’t spoil this for all of us who actually DO work from home.

The audacity! There are worse things, but I agree it’s often unnecessary.

Exactly. Gratitude helps me get over anger and resentment. So does productivity.

Man with toxic employer pays them back by not actually working and getting paid to do it.
