AITA for agreeing with my Dad?

My mum and dad went out for dinner, had a few to drink and at the end of the night they ordered a few slices of cake.

My mum wanted to carry them to the car, my dad suggested a bag.

My mum threw a hissy fit and got upset at my dad because she thought he was being disrespectful by not listening to her. She then threw out the cake, saying she didn’t want to swing them around and wreck them (I told her that if she held them properly they would’t get smooshed) to “prove a point”.

OP’s mum recounted the tale at home.

They came home and my dad was upset at my mum and my mum was upset at my dad and mum explained the above to me.

I said to her “The bag makes sense, what if you dropped them?”

She got upset with me and said that its not the point, the point is that dad didn’t listen to her and she left with “Well i guess we’re all jerks tonight”

AITA?

Yikes! I think the mom really overreacted about the bag suggestion.
