On Sunday August 19th, 2018 Bryan Kidwell’s life changed forever. After diving into a wave, he was tossed by the sea and his head struck a sandbar. Upon impact, his C5 and C6 vertebrae in his spinal cord were immediately shattered and fractured, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down.

On the 1-year anniversary of his accident, his then fiance (and now wife) surprised him with this video, saying: “One year ago today, I almost lost you. You got a second chance at life. Here’s my gift to you”
