Impatient Husband Wants To Cut The Line At Subway, But His Wife Sees Red At The Prospect

Nobody likes someone who cuts in line.
But in this story, maybe the cutting was justified?
Hard to say. Let’s dig in.
AITA FOR TELLING MY HUSBAND TO NOT EMBARRASS ME
My husband and I were standing in line at subway because I was thirsty and wanted a drink but not a sandwich.
I was perfectly content with waiting for the 3 people in front of me ordering a sandwich. My husband grabbed a bottled tea and was about to just cut in front of everyone because he felt it was justified with only a drink.
Classic dilemma: to wait or not to wait.
I had to say “Don’t you dare embarrass me like that.”
He said how that was nonsense for waiting. I had to explain why that it was embarrassing for me if he would do that.
Yeah, patience IS a virtue. How will he and OP resolve this footlong problem?
His response was, “Alright just keep talking like that,” with a threatening tone.
This was about 2 hours ago and he’s still walking around with an attitude as if I was in the wrong. Can someone explain to me if I was in the wrong, why?
I can’t ask him because he will just say, “It doesn’t matter,” or, “You’re gonna do what you want like you always do,” or just shrug and say, “Whatever.”
Well that’s definitely an overreaction, I’d say.
Those are his responses 85% of the time to anything I say.
AITA?
Sounds like these two are not eating fresh or feeling good.
Whose side are the comments on?
This person says, just cut the line.

Another person says, talk prettier to each other one day!

This person could go either way.

Another poster just says, yikes.

Another person says, there are big picture problems here.

Nobody is having it their way.
