Once a Year the Entire City of Warsaw Stands For a Minute of Silence
Every year on August 1st at 5pm, the people of Warsaw pay homage to the fallen heroes that fought for freedom in 1944 during the Warsaw Uprising.
It was the biggest rebellion against German Nazi occupation during WWII and cost over 200,000 lives and the destruction of the capital. You can read more about it here.
