Chuck Jones’ 9 Golden Rules for the Coyote and the Road Runner
Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner are a duo of characters from the Looney Tunes. The characters were created by Warner Bros., animation director Chuck Jones and they made their first appearance on September 17, 1949. To date, 48 cartoons have been made featuring these characters (including the three CGI shorts), the majority by Chuck Jones. [source]
Just like Pixar’s famous 22 rules of storytelling, Jones had 9 golden rules for Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. It’s important to think of these more as guidelines versus hard and fast rules that could never be broken.

Rule 1: The Road Runner cannot harm the coyote
