In this incredible (and slightly terrifying) photo we see reddit user Travoli hiking into Mendenhall Glacier just outside of Juneau, Alaska.

In the comments, Travoli says he did the Mendenhall Glacier tour with Above and Beyond Alaska. It’s a full day hiking trip that takes about 8 hours and costs $230 USD per person. You’ll cover about 8-9 miles in total and have to carry a 10-15 pound pack. Hiking into the glacier is weather dependent and the guides will decide if it’s safe enough to enter.

What an incredible experience this would be!
