His Girlfriend Wants To Spend The Night At A Male Friend’s House, But He’s Not Comfortable With That

I have a feeling a lot of men AND women wouldn’t be comfortable with a situation like this.
I’m talking about your significant other spending the night at the home of someone of the opposite sex…who they say is just a friend.
I’m sure it’s possible…but I think most folks would be suspicious.
Is this guy taking things too far?
Check out what he had to say in this story from Reddit.
AITA for being uneasy about my girlfriend’s sleepover plans with a male friend?
“My (23M) girlfriend (20F) asked me yesterday if it would be okay with me if she went to a big city from Friday to Saturday to visit her best friend (a guy), have dinner with his family, and stay the night at his place.
We’ve been together for about a year, and while I knew this guy existed, I had never met him before or heard much about him until now.
Ummmm, no.
I told her I felt uncomfortable with it—not because I don’t trust her, but because I don’t know him at all—and asked if she’d consider just visiting during the day on Saturday instead.
She reassured me that they’d be sleeping in separate rooms and that it was totally platonic.
He had an idea.
To find a compromise, I offered to pick her up later that night so she could still go, have dinner, hang out, and then come home.
She agreed, but also said I was being controlling and that I should trust her more.
Since then, she keeps bringing it up and saying I don’t trust her.
Again, it’s not about her—I trust her.
But I don’t know this guy, and I’d just feel more comfortable if I had met him or knew a bit more about their dynamic.
AITA?”

Maybe he has a good reason to be concerned about this…
And maybe not. Hard to say.
