Their Neighbor Won’t Leave Them Alone. Now They’re Considering Moving Just To Escape Him.

You know that things have to be REALLY bad if folks consider moving because a neighbor is so awful.

But, sadly, these kinds of stories really aren’t that rare!

And the couple in the story you’re about to read are dealing with something that most of us will thankfully never have to put up with.

Let’s just say that this Neighbor From Hell is practically driving them away…literally.

Read on and find out what they’re going through.

At wits end with escalating Neighbor From Hell.

“My husband and I bought our first home 3 and a half years ago and have had problems with this neighbour from the start.

We are not the only ones he has friction with, he is even banned from the neighbourhood park at the end of the road for harassing people.

They’re getting the worst of it…

But as the only people that share a direct fence line with him, we bear the brunt of the issue.

• He has filmed us with 1-3 cameras nearly 24/7 since we moved in. It started with filming our back deck. He now films directly into our windows as well. He installed lights next to the cameras for night sight. Constantly accuses us of filming him (we only have a doorbell cam that doesn’t even have sight of his house).

• We have lights on the side of the house that point downwards to light the side yard, that we use infrequently. We are shining lights at his house to disturb him.

This guy has some issues…

• Repeatedly accuses us of throwing things at his house. If he finds anything in his yard, we threw it at his house. We have obviously never thrown anything at his house, because why??

• He has (invasive) honeysuckle running down the fence line and some large trees that he doesn’t trim for “privacy”. My husband tries to trim them ONLY ON OUR SIDE each year as it’s killing that side of our yard greenery, and this is met with a barrage of insults, filming us, throwing my husband’s ladder off a tree, and now he has a No Trespassing sign on one of his trees. He also argued with my MIL about this and told her to sort out her “tenants”.

• We had a roommate one summer and he immediately started yelling over the fence asking how many people we had living here and if our landlord (?!) knew and he would be calling them.

This guy has way too much time on his hands…

This man is on disability or retired so he is home nearly 24/7. He has less issues with me, but it’s got to the point where my husband cannot go out into the back yard, even late at night, without the neighbour appearing and watching, sometimes barraging with insults and accusations. He comes out when we walk past his house sometimes just to watch us.

We have actually always tried to be good neighbours despite this. When his cat went missing and he asked me as “I was the last one seen in front of his house on camera”, I helped him look.

We’ve helped him when he’s found stray dogs and asked us for help (though he also accused us of animal abuse). He’s done normal things like put wrongly delivered mail in our mailbox. He goes up and down because I think he’s probably mentally ill.

It came to a head this week when he found a peach on in his yard and accused us of throwing our peaches at his house. He called the police this time and they threatened to arrest my husband for disorderly conduct. It was probably a squirrel stealing peaches from our tree.

Yes, this guy clearly has something going on…

I called the police once about the filming last year and they said he can film us it’s not against the law, unless we get a restraining order. He has criminal history of telecommunications harassment and similar, not much seems to stick, and it doesn’t seem to change his behaviour.

This is becoming a nightmare. We’ve started to think about moving, but this house is a renovation job we put a lot of money into and aren’t finished with. We can’t afford much else, so we’d be left at a loss.

I also don’t know how we could sell as he’d definitely screw with any viewings. We couldn’t even do meet and greets with a foster dog without him coming out.

I don’t know what to do…”

That’s rough, folks!

And I personally don’t know how I’d react to this much nonsense.

This guy is public nuisance!

This woman and her husband are stuck in a terrible situation…
