Revenge on my rude downstairs neighbor.

“I got home Monday night at 10 pm last week.

Knew I only had 7 hours till I had to get up for work. Miserable.

I had just gotten back from a trip out of state to say goodbye to my grandmother less than two days before.

And I come home to a passive aggressive, rude, condescending note from our downstairs neighbors about noise.

Yikes…

Everything from writing out the phrase “especially at night” five separate times in one note as if I can’t read or understand.

Also complained that my dog is “too loud when it gets excited.”

We live in a dog friendly building.

So on one of my super pretty thank you notes I basically ****** her with kindness and said “while we can’t do much to make our 75 lb dog any quieter, we do apologize for the noise we have been making and will be more mindful.”

They let her know what was really going on.

I then went on to explain exactly what I was coming home from when I found that note.

Told her that while her note was understandable it was rude, and that it broke me entirely in that moment.

Told her that you have to be mindful that you don’t know what others are going through and that kindness is always the best starting point. Signed it with warm regards

I genuinely hope the guilt that response elicited haunts this woman for decades.”
