Snow Falls in Cairo for the First Time in 112 Years
For the first time in 112 years it is snowing in Cairo, the capital city of Egypt. In a city that averages less than an inch (25.4 mm) of rain in a year, precipitation in any form is quite rare. The entire Middle East region is experiencing record snowfalls, the likes that have not been seen in over fifty years. Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, Jordan and Syria have all received snowfall this December.
Can you imagine seeing snow for the first time in your life? What a sensation it would be!
