Hotel stays should be peaceful for everyone.

In this story, an employee was working the night shift at a hotel when he started receiving complaints from other guests.

A woman checked in with a group of girls who started causing chaos and noise in different parts of the hotel.

Despite multiple warnings, the noise continued late into the night and affected other guests. So, he was left with no choice but to take a drastic measure.

Can you guess how he dealt with it? Check out the full details below.

locals with a birthday party oh the joys

This lady checked in around 4 p.m. I was working the 3 to 11 shift. Of course, she checked in alone.

About an hour later, a gaggle of girls showed up at the hotel.

This lady had two rooms. One was for herself, one was for the gaggle of girls.

She told me that, at some point, they went into the gym. They started throwing stuff and screaming. They threw tissues, wipes, towels, and water cups all over the place.

This employee received a complaint about the noisy girls.

She kicked them out. She told them they needed an adult to be in there.

They gave her attitude. But they still went. They were on the third floor.

The people below them began to complain around 9 p.m.

They said the girls were blasting music. It was so loud that you could hear it from the first floor.

His colleague talked to the girls and gave them a warning.

My front desk person went up and talked to them and to the mom.

They pulled the “it was not even that loud” card.

She told them the next noise complaint we got would result in calling the cops.

Of course, I got to take over from there at 11.

They received another complaint, so he decided to visit them in their room.

Around 11:30, a lady came down. She told me they were running in the halls and slamming the doors.

I went upstairs and saw one of the girls go into the room. The door slammed. There was an adult talking to them with the door open.

So I went to the room and asked if they could keep it down. I told them no more door slamming or running in the hallway.

She said she had it handled.

The girls went down the lobby and played with the back door.

I do not love calling the cops. For one, they are not always useful. I did not think slamming the door warranted calling the cops.

The girls came downstairs. I do not know what they were doing. But I heard a loud bang on the back door. So I went out there.

I asked them to go back to their rooms.

The back door has been acting funny ever since they hit it. It will open and close several times before it finally closes.

He finally called the cops.

Anyway, I got another complaint around 12:30. I texted my coworker.

After calling the room, I spoke to a child. They could not get the mother on the phone.

I ultimately decided to call the cops. They were just as unhelpful as I assumed they would be.

They showed up and talked to them. They told me they promised to keep it down and to call back if it escalated.

He hates guests who can’t control their kids.

Thankfully, they were quiet for the rest of the night.

But I love when locals decide to use a room for a birthday party.

They cannot control their kids.

Yikes! That sounds like a long night for the hotel employee.

Seriously, who thinks hotels can be little kids’ playgrounds? Slamming doors and blasting music can be too much.

I guess calling the cops was the last option they had to take to finally shut down the noise.

And finally, another valid question.

A hotel isn’t a playground, and other guests deserve peace and quiet.
