Three years of fighting and we finally get to put up a privacy fence.

“Bad neighbors (BN) have fought us putting up a 6 ft privacy fence to replace the 4 ft existing chain link. They know they are the reason we’re working to put it up.

When we moved in our two elderly dogs had passed away.

We went a couple years and decided to get a puppy. We ended up adopting a German Shepherd. We loved him so much we got a second that’s the same age.

Dogs know how to spot bad people from a mile away…

Both are well trained and mostly well mannered. I say mostly because they like everyone but the bad neighbors. They’re good with anyone else and love when kids come to see them.

Bad neighbors filed a complaint that they were dangerous. They claimed we let them roam the neighborhood and they had even jumped the fence and chased both of them around.

We have cameras in our yard (also put up because of the BN).

These people are nuts!

We used them to prove that not only were the dogs not doing what was claimed. We also found footage of the BN sabotaging the fence to make it so the dogs could push under.

We offered to put up and pay for a privacy fence. The BN countered that we sell our house and move. It became a dispute about style, property lines, and basic petty differences.

Even when we would get permission to put the fence up, we couldn’t find a contractor to do it. By the time we would, there’d be a new argument.

Now we’ve finally gotten everything settled and the stars to align. Installation is in a few weeks.

Yikes…

Unfortunately, these neighbors are taking it out on the entire neighborhood and have become insufferable at every turn.

They even call the police on a kid’s birthday party being too loud.

We’re happy to get the win but worry that they’re just going to crank up the level of harassment.

Hopefully this runs its course and they just settle down.”
