A Company Replaced Working Systems With Disconnected Software In Just A Few Months, And Frustrated Employees Started Walking Out

In the workplace, there’s nothing worse than new management that insists on “fixing” something that wasn’t even broken in the first place.
One seasoned employee watched in horror as a wave of new managers trickled in, all seemingly obsessed with micromanaging every detail while dismantling systems that longtime employees, some with nearly a decade of experience, had relied on successfully for years.
The new push included software that didn’t even communicate with existing tools, an obsession with automation, and a demand for multiple hours of weekly meetings from staff who weren’t even full-time.
The chaos already pushed two colleagues out the door, and the employee worried the worst was yet to come.

New micromanagers changing entire company
A company recently hired a bunch of new micro, super micromanagement.
Longtime employees soon watch as the company begins to go downhill dramatically.
Many of us have been here, including myself, for almost a decade or more, and they’re changing everything around very quickly, very fast. Not for the better.
There’s a big disconnect between the boss’ expectations and reality.
Using software that doesn’t connect with other software, they’re trying to implement changing, in taking away things and how it’s been done, because it works, it works well.
They just want to click one button and have everything populate, doesn’t always work that way.
These unrealistic expectations are starting to weigh on the employees.
Sometimes you have to do a little adjustments here and there, they don’t want this, it’s aggravating and annoying.
For many people like myself, or part-time, they want multiple meetings for hours during the week, asking why we can’t attend for multiple hours during the week.
I have more than just this job in my life.
This mismatch has led to several people losing their jobs.
It’s not even a job, it’s just garbage at this point because of all the things they are trying to change. So far they’ve gotten rid of two people, who knows who’s more to come because of all these new changes.
All these changes started in about May, early June. Trying to push all these changes before EOY.
I’m tired, these people have no idea what they’re doing, and they’re going to break this company.
It’s a mystery how incompetent people like this manage to rise to the top.
What did Reddit have to say?
Work life balance is the last thing on these peoples’ minds.

Leave it to a micromanager to say something silly like this.

“Part-time” is never part time to these people.

The damage management has already inflicted is really something to behold.

Nothing says “we don’t understand this business” quite like walking in and making these kinds of destructive demands.
Real workflows need small adjustments constantly. It’s not inefficiency, it’s just how operations function in the real world.
Losing two employees within months of these changes rolling is pretty much as glaring as a warning sign can get.
The fastest way to break a company is management convincing itself that speed matters more than knowing what you’re doing.
