The late 1960s were a VERY strange time filled with drugs and psychedelia and this interesting McDonald’s commercial from 1969 proves that the trippy times even bled over into mainstream American life.

The ad shows kids and Ronald McDonald skipping down a yellow brick road and encountering apple pie trees, hamburgers come to life, and a host of other 1960s weirdness.

Now this is trippy!

I wonder if Ronald showed up at Woodstock that year…
