Once upon a time, Sesame Street aired an episode only once.

It aired in 1976 and Wizard of Oz actress Margaret Hamilton appeared as the Wicked Witch of the West just as she had in the 1939 film.

In the episode, Hamilton tries to get her broom back from Sesame Street character David.

It never aired again because it was considered to be too scary for kids.
