Dubbed the ‘V House’, this incredible property designed by Felipe Mesa of Plan B Arquitectos and Giancarlo Mazzanti is a terrific example of design adapting to its environment. Situated on a steep hill in Bogota, Colombia, the key objective was to maximize the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Completed in 2009, the outdoor space is certainly the most eye-catching element of the house. Although I’m unsure of the practicality, I love the concept of a green roof, so cool!

Working with the slope of the hill, the ceiling of the lower floor aligns with the base of the upper floor, maximizing the view on both levels. Brilliant!
