Picture of the Day: A Single Snowflake
A SINGLE SNOWFLAKE
In this fantastic macro photograph by Alexey Kljatov (featured previously) we see a solitary snowflake on dark wool fabric.
Alexey says the shot is from two winters ago (March 2012). On his blog he recalls:
This is a large snowflake, around 5-6 mm. 8 serial shots averaged to boost signal-to-noise ratio. Background: dark woolen fabric, natural light (gray clouded sky), external optics Helios 44M-5, Moscow.
