My boss changed the schedule with no notice.

“I work at a chain drugstore.

I don’t work all too often during the school year, but when I do, I take pictures of the schedules so I know exactly when I work again, what department I’ll be in, and who I work with (we have the schedules made 3 weeks in advance).

I had mostly been opening on Sundays the past month (7:45-4), but was finally scheduled for an 11-7 shift in my preferred section of the store. Yay!

It was party time!

I could go out and party and then sleep it off with my SO the next day. The following is what occurred at approximately 8:00 am that Sunday morning.

My phone starts ringing and I ignore it and wait for the voice mail. My shift leader: Hey dear, you were supposed to be here about fifteen minutes ago. Where are you? I called her back Me: Hey! Is this a joke?

Her: No… you’re on the schedule Me: explains situation and that I have photo proof of that schedule Her: Please come in anyway and we can work it out. Send me the picture.

They were totally over it.

I went to work, fuming and still intoxicated. Got no apology. And handed in my notice that day.

The store manager then begged me to stay and I really like my discount, so I still wear that blue shirt and stupid khakis a few times a month.”
