Neighbor Keeps Letting His Dog Off-Leash Into A Man’s Yard, And He’s Tired Of Dealing With It

As a dog lover, even I get annoyed sometimes when people don’t control their pooches.
Yes, I understand that some people want to let their dogs run free and be one with nature…but that’s not always the way that things work out…
And when folks aren’t being responsible with their dogs, bad things can happen.
In today’s story, a homeowner explained why he’s so frustrated with his neighbor…and his neighbor’s dog…
Read on and see what you think!
Keep your dog on your property!
“My neighbour’s dog is best friends with my dog and I don’t mind if they play a couple times a week, but EVERY TIME I let my dog outside her dog is in my yard!
We live in a small town where everyone seems to think it’s okay to have your dog off leash.
Just now I decided I was going to go to my back yard and do some training with my dog because he’s a bit reactive when people walk by so with school starting next week I’m trying to get him out of the habit of barking and scaring children walking across the street to school.
Here we go again…
The neighbour’s dog was outside and came into my yard and my plan of training went into the garbage.
Her dog also only poops in my yard, cries at my door to be let in and knows how to take my dogs collar off so he can’t even be outside on his rope without me outside with him.
Last night at 10:30 pm I was taking my dog out for his last bathroom break before bed and the neighbour dog was in my yard.
How annoying!
This got my dog all excited so we came back inside and had to stay up another hour to redo the last bathroom break of the night.
I’m planning on building a fence soon but her dog can also jump up to 5 feet or higher in the air so he’s probably just going to hop the fence.
I’ve tried to talk to her about her dog and she just says “dogs will be dogs, they aren’t meant to be contained.”
I’m honestly at a loss of what to do because until I build my fence I have to at least be civil with her as our house has over grown bushes that are half on my property line and half on hers and need her approval to remove them.
Not to mention the way our house is faced I’ll need to be in her yard to do some of the work.”
