Wow…
Just…wow…
It takes a special kind of jerk to accuse someone with serious health problems of faking it.
Who does that?!?!
Well, the guy who wrote this story has had his fair share of issues…but not everyone is buying it…including one of his own friends!
Take a look at what he had to say about this situation.
AITA for snapping at someone about my disability?
“I had brain surgery in 2019 for a malignant tumor in my parietal lobe.
I’ve had about 6 more surgeries since then and a slew of complications.
This sounds terrible.
As a result, I have lost proprioception in my right leg (especially the foot) and my right hand.
Please understand that it’s not numbness like when you lie on your arm in bed and can’t feel it, it’s like the limb isn’t there unless I look at it.
I can’t walk up and down stairs. I use a cane. There have been times I needed assistance showering. And I’m stuck like this. I hope I don’t need to tell you that brain segments don’t grow back.
Now, on to my friend.
I’ve known them since before I had cancer. There was recently some discussion about meeting up, until this conversation went upside down.
I have a roommate who is my best friend and helps with things that I can’t do or struggle with, one of those things is emptying the cats’ litter trays.
What a jerk…
My friend went off at me saying that I’m lazy, that I use my disability to manipulate people, that I’m capable of doing it myself, it’s unfair on my housemate etc.
I sent my housemate a text and showed my friend the reply, I asked if he has a problem with taking out the litter and if he would prefer we moved the bins to the front so I could do it (there are steps at the back) and he was like no why would I have a problem?
Wow…
Next my online friend Googled a floor plan of my house from the real estate website and claimed victory because the steps weren’t labelled, and called me a liar and claimed that I was a compulsive liar.
They implied (as has happened before) that they think I’m lying about cancer because I had a bad prognosis but have lived far past my expiration date.
I lost it on them.
I told them how I get filthy looks in public for using disabled toilets, standing up from my wheelchair (I don’t use it anymore because I need pushing), using elevators to avoid stairs, holding up buses because I’m slow to get on, etc.
Good for him!
I just raged at them and called them obsessive and creepy for Googling my house, that I wish we could swap bodies for a day, that physiotherapy can’t make my brain segment grow back, that I hope they fall on the floor and can’t get up so they can feel what it’s like, and to Google it because I’m exhausted with explaining it to people.
I said that people have said nasty things about them (this is true) and that I agree with them. I turned things on them with stuff like at least I clean my house despite my disability because they told me recently that they haven’t cleaned their house in years. I was beyond fed up.
Now we’ve blocked each other and I assume they’re off telling mutual friends that I’m a liar and a narcissist using my disability as an excuse.
AITA for what I said?”

What an absolute JERK.
Who would accuse someone of something like this?
People are strange, y’all…
He needs to cut this person out of his life permanently!
