“Why Is She Here?!”: Nosy Coworker Tracked Him Down to His College Campus Years After Workplace Feud

Some coworkers make the job harder in small, everyday ways. Others spend three years actively trying to get you fired while smiling in your face the entire time.
One hotel employee has been navigating that same dynamic since day one, when a part-time coworker in her late 50s tried to push him out simply because he held the full-time position she wanted.
Since then, she’s fabricated stories, cried for sympathy, buttered up other employees with coffee, and even accused a different coworker of theft, all while working off the clock to appear devoted to the job.
He eventually cut off all personal interaction with her once he recognized the pattern, but that didn’t stop her from digging for information through other coworkers, including the school he’s attending, information she then used to show up uninvited at his campus.

I have been tolerating this woman for nearly 3 years now and I stay at this hotel job because of a higher raise I got. Although I got a new job offer.
This woman is almost 60 and from the first day she was hired, she tried to get me fired since I was the full-time employee and she was part-time.
This wasn’t just casual mistreatment.
She started fabricating stories, playing the victim and crying, and trying to be super sweet to the other employees by making them coffee. If other employees talk to me, she will try to talk to them as much as she can to befriend them.
She always tries to emphasize her importance about how much she loves the place and everyone, yet tries to backstab the people she doesn’t like, like she has already accused my other coworker of theft. She even works off the clock to prove that she loves the place.
After I realized she was a snake, I stopped the personal interactions.
But that didn’t end this woman’s vendetta against him.
I decided to go to school last year and she was upset because apparently she had to pay for her kids to go to school, but an immigrant such as myself gets to go for free somehow.
She has been trying to get information out of me, like what I do on my off days, what other gigs I work, where I travel to.
The other day she said she was at my school campus and she was chatting with faculty and she was hoping to see me and what a nice campus it is. I was like, “What the heck, who told her about my school?” I told a few coworkers which school I am attending, but it seems nobody at work keeps a secret.
This woman clearly has some serious issues with boundaries.

If this employee waits long enough, the trash might take itself out.
It’s probably time to get HR involved.
This nosy coworker doesn’t deserve to know the truth.

Three years of fabricated stories, manufactured sympathy, and false accusations already paint a clear picture, but showing up at someone’s college campus after being cut off entirely is a genuine escalation that shouldn’t be brushed off as quirky coworker behavior.
Cutting off personal interaction was the right instinct, but it clearly didn’t stop the information gathering; it just redirected it through other coworkers who apparently couldn’t keep their mouths shut.
At this point, being more guarded around every coworker, not just her, is probably necessary, since the leak point could be anyone willing to casually mention personal details.
This whole situation is an HR complaint waiting to happen.
