Rare Video Shows Baby Fish Hiding from Predators Inside a Jellyfish
In this remarkable footage by Stewart Whitfield, baby shrimp scad (Alepes djedaba) (also known as the slender yellowtail kingfish) are seen taking safe haven inside the bell of a Versuriga anadyomene jellyfish.
The baby shrimp scad are trying to avoid hungry trumpetfish that have encircled the jellyfish, which is able to protect itself by use of its stinging thread cells.
