Street Musician and Woman Share Sweet Bond Performing Her Song
For those of us who may need a little faith in humanity, just watch musician and YouTuber Reginald Guillaume (aka guitaro5000) performing an impromptu song with a total stranger for his series, “Sing With Me.”
In June of 2021, Reginald was playing guitar on the Santa Monica Pier and asking random people to sing with him. That’s when he met Alison Freebairn-Smith, a good sport who was out for a walk and agreed to play along. They struggled to choose a song until Alison surprised him – she is a singer and songwriter! At first, Alison was shy about Reginald listening and learning her song, ‘Dear Mr. Rogers,’ an ode to the beloved children’s TV show host who passed away in 2003. But as soon as they began the song, the bond created by their shared love of music was palpable.
