Recreating Famous Cartoon Characters Using the Least Lego Pieces
German ad agency Jung von Matt created this clever and simple print campaign for LEGO entitled, Imagine. Taking a minimalist approach, the agency used as few Lego pieces as possible to recreate the famous cartoon characters below. Tapping our strong association with colour and vivid imagination, many will be able to complete the image in our minds. It’s a beautiful way of reinforcing the essence of the Lego brand and the power of imagination.
It should be noted that this campaign draws striking resemblance to a viral online artwork done in 2010 by Flickr user infinitecontinues. It was titled Street Fighter – Abstract Edition and can be seen at the bottom of this series. Everything is derivative right? 😉
