“I work for a family owned pizza franchise, and have worked here for nearly a third of my life.

When it comes down to it, I’m convinced that customers honestly work harder than I do just to make us upset.

Anyway, we frequently have long shifts here because we are constantly understaffed.

I am almost always in a bitter mood at the end of a shift simply because of our rude customers.

Its 9:57, we close at 10, and I have a huge pile of dishes to clean still.

You know what’s coming next…

A customer must be watching through our windows and know how inconvenient it must be to order right this very second and call.

I tell them right out we close in 3 minutes, and I wont accept any delivery orders.

She sounds unhappy that she can only moderately ruin my life, but agrees for a pickup order.

Naturally, they’ve never ordered food from a restaurant before, because nobody in their house has any clue what to get.

I’m trying to rush them into buying their food when they put me on hold to decide what they want…

For the first time ever the phone ringing was like a song to my ears as I finish my dishes.

They call maybe 8 times after close, when I finally pick back up.

Furious, she is demanding to know why I hung up.

I politely tell her we closed at 10, and I had work to do.
