“I was with a couple of people yesterday about to go fishing on a pier. We got to the parking lot, and of course it was packed because of the holiday.

This parking lot is designed for one way travel with the slanted rows. I had made my way around and noticed a couple that was packing to leave, so I stopped at waited since there was nobody behind me at that point.

They took their sweet time, but I did see a man come up and talk to the woman. I had assumed maybe they were making friendly talk or knew each other.

He walked away after a moment, then I see him pull around in his car going the wrong direction. We waited for them to back out so I moved up to get ready and get into the spot so the other guy could get out of the isle.

Whoa!

The lady leaving the parking spot stopped before she hit me, and then kept backing up and hit my stopped car. I had given her ample space to back out, and then move forward but she wanted to ensure the other guy got the spot.

She got out angrily and said that the other guy had asked for the spot, I replied that parking lots are first come, first serve and they were going the wrong direction.

She had an excuse prepared…

Her reasoning was that they are old, and we could park in the extra lot nearby. The people that parked came over and talked with the person that backed into me and they even hugged.

They did not look old, and I ended up waiting for police before saying anything else to her.
