High school is tough, and having to ward off bullies certainly doesn’t make it any easier.
What would you do if the class mean girl was trying to get in the way of your good grades? One girl recently sought wisdom on Reddit about this conundrum. Here’s what happened.
AITA for refusing to share my notes with a classmate who ignored me all semester?
I (17F) have a classmate (17F) who never talks to me unless she needs something.
All semester she ignored me, never replied when I tried to start conversations, and even once told someone she didn’t want to sit with me because she already had friends.
Typical 17-year-old behavior, but still hurtful.
Now exams are coming up and she suddenly texted me asking for all my notes and summaries because she missed a lot of classes.
I spent hours making those notes and they’re the main reason I’m prepared for the exam.
I told her politely that I’m not comfortable sharing them since she only reaches out when she needs help.
And that’s a completely reasonable boundary.
She said I’m being petty and that “helping classmates is basic decency”.
Some of my friends say I should just send them because it’s not a big deal.
AITA for refusing?
Sounds like this classmate has a different definition of “basic decency” than most people. Let’s see how Reddit weighed in on this one.
Some older Redditors immediately put things into perspective.

Another offered her a script to use.

One person was simply annoyed by it all.

A few offered some petty advice.

And one, petty revenge tactics.

She’s about to make this girl do the math one way or another.
