Hey, I get it… Construction messing with your parking can be a real drag. But the best thing you can do is GET OVER IT…if that’s possible.

The guy who wrote this story is at odds with his wife because he’s upset about his parking situation, and she thinks he’s making a mountain out of a molehill.

Let’s take a look at what he had to say about this…

AITA? Wanting Official “No Parking” Permit.

“On Thursday morning, I found one of those “Construction, No Parking” signs outside my house with dates of 10/30 (today) thru 11/3.

We have two cars and park one right outside our house, so this sign was saying I would have to find alternate street parking for the week. I was thinking this would be really inconvenient so I decided to check if the signs were legit and I contacted the appropriate city department.

They said (this was still Thursday last week) that they had no record of a permit for those dates on my street but I should look out for official city No Parking signs on Monday morning.

He thought he was in the clear.

This morning, there were no official signs so I didn’t move my vehicle.

One of the construction workers knocked on my door and asked if I would move my vehicle. I asked what would happen if I didn’t. He said he would have to come back another time.

He didn’t hold back…

I expressed that I did not like them not bothering to either (A) ask me ahead of time if I would be okay moving my vehicle or (B) applying for an official permit.

He said he would look into getting an official permit and I moved my vehicle for him.

When my wife came home and I told her what happened, she laughed at me and said, “Why do you care so much about this?”

So now I am wondering if I am being a jerk.”

A Reddit user shared their thoughts.

I can see why he’s upset about this… But maybe he’s making too big a deal out of it. You gotta roll with the punches, people!

But…

A word to the wise…never mess with a man’s parking!
