A Teacher Gave Students Nicknames Using Their First Names — He Lost It When One Kid Did The Same To Him

Dealing with high school kids can be very taxing, but as a teacher, you need to learn to keep your cool.
What would you do if you had a teacher who was mean to all the students and would often come up with nicknames based on the first name of the student?
That is what happened to the kids in this story, so this one student figured out what the teacher’s first name was and called him by it, which caused the teacher to fly off the handle. It got so bad that the teacher got fired, but in the end he just got transferred to a new school in the area.
While students should certainly be respectful, teachers should also be able to hold their temper. Read through the full story below and see what you think about the situation.
How I got a teacher fired
So, I was in 9th grade or so in Highschool when this happened.
Teachers can get tired of dealing with kids eventually.
On our school we had a very special teacher I will call Mr. F. Mr. F had a reputation of being a complete jerk, but it was quite funny provoking him, because of his exaggerated reactions.
When the class was loud he would scratch the board with his fingernails, wich made a loud and painful noise, or he would slap a book on his desk extremly loudly. Sometimes he would just shout “SHUT UP” as loud as he could.
At least this person doesn’t have to deal with him every day.
On some day he would get a whistle out of his bag, that made a sound, that only children and teenagers could hear and that was really painful.
Fortunatly, he wasn’t regularly teaching in my class, but would sometimes replace another teacher that had gone sick or something.
This is all fun and good.
One time, he oversaw us in informatics class when the usual teacher hasn’t given us work for the lesson she was absent. So, the class and the teacher just killed the time, having a casual conversation, while messing around with the school computers.
Mr. F. gave some of us, including me, stupid nicknames related to our first names. It wasn’t really a big deal for me, but everyone was in a pretty good mood all in all, because we didn’t have to work, so I wanted to return the teasing.
He isn’t giving up on finding this out.
I asked Mr. F what his first name was, but he just said, he wouldn’t tell me. Multiple attemps by other students failed as well.
Being the 14 year old I was, I wouldn’t give up so easily, so I went into the school foyer after the class where a board with photos of all the teachers with their full names hang at the wall.
Planning the perfect moment to use this information.
Having his first name, I now just waited for the next class I would have with Mr. F, which fortunately was just in a few days. He replaced our music teacher, but everyone just worked on ther group work, while he would approach all the groups from time to time, pick on the students.
That all went by without any noteworthy incidents until the end of musics class. While everyone was leaving the classroom as quick as possible to get home (it was friday afternoon) he was chatting with a student at the door.
Mr. F is not happy about this.
I was one of the last to leave the room, when I said something like: “Bye, Frank!” (changed the name) to Mr. F while passing him on the way out.
At that moment something must have snapped in him. Before I could reach the staircase, the student he was chatting with ran to me and said, that Mr. F wanted me to come back immedeatly.
He is really overreacting.
That wasn’t even necessary, because Mr. F already rushed out of the classroom and approached me. For about five minutes he shouted at me, how dare and disrepectful I am to call him by his first name and that, if we weren’t in school he would have slapped me in the face, even touching my cheek to underline that.
Because I called him by his first name, after he called me by a stupid nickname, that I didn’t even give permission for. After that I went home and told my mom the story, and she immedeatly made an appointment with the school principal.
It is surprising that the principal is taking his side.
At that time we had just got a new principal, after the old one retired. That new principal apparently didn’t like Mr. F, and Mr. F didn’t like the new principal.
After I told him, what have happened, he was completely on my side, saying it wasn’t disrespectful at all to call Mr. F by his first name, after he gave me an embarassing nickname.
Mr. F will get another position without a problem.
He also said, that that wasn’t the first time an incident had occured with Mr. F and he would have a very serious talk with him. Two weeks later Mr. F was gone.
Unfortunatly, in Germany teachers are considered state officers that can’t be fired very easily, so when a school doesn’t want to employ a teacher, he would get shifted to another school.
They just keep bouncing him from school to school.
A few years after that incident I was at a party, where students from like half a dozent different schools where present, and every single one of them knew Mr. F, because he had been at that school for a few months, then done something inappropriate and got shifted somewhere else.
He probably is still somewhere out ther terrorising students with little to no consequences.
It seems clear that Mr. F has a really short temper, and that is not something that is good for a teacher.

This person had someone like the teacher from this story.

This would be a great story.

I would be fed up with dealing with these kids after about the first week.

Something similar happened to this person.

I was wondering about that, too.

Getting tired of putting up with teenagers is completely understandable, but losing his temper is not. Plus, the teacher should have known that it isn’t hard to figure out his first name.
All that being said, it is terrible that the schools just transfer him around. If a teacher is bad, they shouldn’t be teaching anywhere.
