It seems like some people intentionally go out of their way to find things to complain about.
And if you work with the public in any way, shape, or form, you most likely deal with a dumb complaint from a customer on a daily basis.
It’s just the way it goes.
In this story, a hotel worker shared what a customer said to them that made them roll their eyes in disbelief.
Check out what went down.
Why are People so Dumb?
“I’m working at a newly opened hotel and last night, two men came in to view the place, which has a restaurant and bar in the lobby that’s open to the public.
As they marveled at the interior, one guy said he had a complaint.
What was it, you ask?
Say what?
He was upset about large garbage dumpsters ACROSS THE STREET from our property. There are 3 huge bins with orange cones around them and it looks like it might be some type of construction site.
He complained that in the summer when it’s hot, it might attract rats.
This guy must have a lot of time on his hands!
It’s January and who knows if they will even be there that long? He also said that he has complained to our general manager.
What is wrong with people?
Why does this idiot think we have control over things that have nothing to do with us?
All my coworkers and I could do is roll our eyes when he walked away.”
