A Classmate Ruined His Grade Years Ago—So When They Were Paired Again, He Settled the Score

Group projects in school are important, and they can teach you many things, but unfortunately, they also cause a lot of problems for hard-working students.
What would you do if your partner in a group project didn’t show up to do his presentation, which meant you failed the assignment and the class?
That is what happened to the student in this story, so a couple of years later, when he got partnered with that same student again, he made sure not to do any of the work, causing that guy to fail a class in return. It felt good to get revenge.
While you should never let your entire grade be so dependent on another student, at least he was able to get revenge. Read through the full story below and see what you think about it.
Sleeping through the presentation time and making my school extended? Now your school is extending.
Back in university, I had to team up with two of the guys from my class, but this story focuses on one of them.
This seems like an interesting assignment.
We had to prepare a demo teaching in which somebody was to deliver teaching part. We all agreed that he would do the teaching and the others would prepare the paperworks (lesson plan and all the materials).
Time passes and it comes to the day of teaching. Two of us were already there to check the computer and every other technological devices so that nothing goes wrong.
They must have been so angry.
We become worried about him and decided to call him a few times to ask where he was. He didn’t answer.
As a contingency, I had to deliver the teaching, which I was not ready to do at all. We ended up graded very low and eventually failed the class and because of that, my school got extended.
What kind of person does this and doesn’t apologize? I would hate them.
The thing is, he never apologised or tried to explain what happened and decided to withdraw from the class and take it from another teacher.
I, however, had to wait two years for that class to have an opening in my schedule to be able to take it again, therefore extending the school.
It is hard to believe that he would ask to be partnered up again after last time.
But life is good, 3 years passes, and we are in our last year. There was this translation class where you either pair up or work alone on two different translated version of a book and write a report about it.
All of a sudden, I get a text from him. “Hey bro, would you like to pair up with me and do this project together?”.
It is time for revenge.
I accepted his offer. I knew it was his last year at school and he was going to graduate (and I still had one more year because of the other lesson).
But throughout the semester, I absolutely ghosted him and avoided doing anything on project. He messaged me a couple of times to check on me about the project, but all that was in vain.
You can bet he was shocked and angry about it.
He ended up failing the course.
Have fun studying there one more year!
People who flake out on group assignments are the worst, but you should never let your grade be so low that another person’s actions can cause you to fail the class entirely.

They were able to make him pay. Hopefully he learned his lesson.

This is a great way to put it. You never know what you will get with group work.

Why wouldn’t you come in late to this class? Working alone is not a punishment.

This commenter actively avoids group projects. Who can blame them?

Group projects may teach students how to work together, but they can be a major problem if everyone doesn’t pull their weight. Many students hate this type of assignment because the work is not done equally.
At least in this story, they were able to get some revenge on the lazy student who caused so many problems.
