There’s a special kind of freedom that comes with finally being able to speak your mind about your annoying colleagues once you no longer work with them. No more workplace politics- just the sweet, consequence-free truth.

What story would you tell first after leaving behind a toxic coworker? One guy finally shared his most iconic one with Reddit. Here’s what he said.

Bob, the scroogiest of coworkers

Recently, I quit the car dealer ship I worked at for the last 10 years.

So I thought it was finally time for me to share about Bob, the scroogiest of coworkers.

He’s now free to share as much as he wants.

Bob has worked there even longer than me as an Service Advisor, at this point probably about 18 years.

He is known for all the petty things you also know about your coworkers.

However, he is overall a decent colleague and has never actively hurt the company so he mostly goes unscathed with his stunts.

Everyone has experienced a coworker like this.

One Saturday at the beginning of December, a known city butcher shop was on his way to secure a good spot on our local Christmas market.

Unfortunately his car broke down right on the way and he feared he would loose his spot and a lot of the Christmas revenue.

This sounds like the beginning of a movie.

The owner is a known and loved customer so our 3 colleagues who worked that day, went out of their way to tow him, repair his car and send him on his way, all on overtime.

He was so thankfully that, shortly before christmas, he came by and left an extraordinary tip: 10 pounds of his finest Bratwurst.

To the suprise of all, Bob immediately volunteered to bring Sausages to the fridge in the breakroom, wich is located at the far back of the building.

Hmm…sounds like Bob is up to something.

Suprised, because normally he avoids anyting even closely resembeling manual labor.

But no one complains, how nice of him.

About three hours later, one of our mechanic apprentice remembers that he forgot his lunchbox in the dishwasher.

Always an annoying realization.

By that time, someone allready emptied it so he starts to rummage through the kitchen cupboards in search of his box.

After he returns to his workers, he tells them that he couldnt find his lunchbox but wondered why there are about 5 pounds of sausages in the back of the lowest cupboard, behind some never used pans.

The mechanics, who already heard about the tip, immediately know why.

Bob doesn’t seem to think through his schemes too hard.

However, instead of calling Bob out on his bs, they decide to have some fun.

They, again, hide 8 of the total 10 pounds of Wurst completly out of reach.

And exactly when Bob’s shift ends, coincidentally all of them are on a smoke break in sight of the kitchen window.

Some relaxation and some entertainment.

After about 10 minutes of watching Bob frantically rummage through the kitchen cupboards, they go insinde and ask him what he is looking for.

On this, he just stammers something, takes his fair share of sausage and leaves the building.

Some coworkers just never seem to let it sink in that there’s no “i” in “team”. Let’s see what the working class of Reddit had to say about this.

Most of the readers were duly baffled.

And made sure their comments reflected that.

Though most got a kick out of it all.

So much so, that one even took it a little personally.

“Employee of the Year” is certainly nowhere to be seen on this guy’s resume…
