In this beautiful photograph by Mariah Jelena Kordzadze we see people riding a classic carousel swing. After doing some sleuthing, I believe this particular carousel is located in Paris, France (which apparently has many carousels!).

As for the metaphors, literature is filled with comparisons to our own lives: the ups and downs, the round and round, enjoying the ride and of course the simple pleasures 🙂
