Picture of the Day: Waves of Time
WAVES OF TIME
Shaped over thousands of years by the crashing waves, Kannesteinen Rock is a beautiful, heart-shaped formation located in the village of Oppedal, Norway, approximately 10 km west of the centre of Måløy. While difficult to gauge the size in the particular photograph, the rock is about three feet high (0.9 meters) and wide enough for three or four people to stand on.
The rock has become a popular tourist destination and in recent years a wheelchair friendly path and viewing platform have even been created. Interestingly, Kannesteinen has less favourable viewing angles, as can be seen in this photo. [Source 1, 2]
