Earlier this month Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her 90th birthday (which was actually in April) with a traditional procession that featured 1600 soldiers, 300 horses and the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team performing a flyby over Buckingham Palace.

To celebrate the illustrious event, the Queen donned a bold, neon green outfit that immediately screamed ‘green screen‘ to the good citizens of the Internet…

 

 

The photoshopping was swift and unrelenting, as digital artists flooded social media with their hot takes and animated savagery. By day’s end, the ‘Green Screen Queen’ would solidify her place in the annals of Internet memedom.
