AirPods are too expensive to lose.

She apologized and promised to replace them, but they disagree about what replacing them really means.

AITA for not letting my GF use my AirPods after she lost them?
My girlfriend recently used my AirPods on a road trip somewhere.
She lost them.
She has a history of being clumsy, losing things, and dropping stuff, so I wasn’t surprised when this happened.
This man’s girlfriend apologized for losing his AirPods.
Long story short, the place she lost them was an extremely busy area, and it was over 2-hour away from me, so they were gone.
As soon as she lost them, she immediately apologized.
And I had to go to the bathroom to not lose my cool because AirPods are expensive!
He decided it would be fine since she would replace them.
After some reflection, I decided that they were an old pair anyway and it’d be fine since she would replace them.
Well, in my mind, I thought that meant she would buy a whole new pair for me and l’d have control over them, like they were my original pair.
And knowing her track record of losing things, l’d probably not let her use them.
But she fully expects to use the replacement AirPods herself.
That’s when she broke the news to me.
Yes, she’d buy me a new pair.
But, to her, that means she can/will use them as well because she’s using her money to buy the AirPods.
He plans on never letting her borrow them.
So my question is, is it right for me to argue the usage of those AirPods?
Can I potentially not let her use them in fear of them being lost again?
Even though she’s reimbursing me?
Her main argument is that it’s a lot of money to replace them and that means she has the right to use them as well. Is that right/fair?
He shouldn’t have let her use them in the first place!
