One former Target worker learned that lesson the awkward way when a stranger refused to take no for an answer.
She was about to find out that even Halloween decorations couldn’t scare off entitlement.

Dude’s friend called him out
Until recently, I worked at Target.
One year, on my break and out of uniform, I was browsing the Halloween stuff that had just been put out.
But that’s when the trouble started.
Three young dudes, early 20s, came up to me. #1 jerkface asked me if I worked there.
I learned my lesson after this, but I said, “Not right now.”
Most people would have taken the hint, but he didn’t.
He responded, “Can you help me anyway?” and proceeded to ask me where something was—I don’t remember what.
I responded, “I’ve never even heard of that,” and walked away.
But the rest of his friends didn’t react how she expected.
As I walked, I heard one of his friends say to him, “Did she just tell you no? Because she should have!”
I appreciate that kid so much, lol.
Uniform or not, customers sure love making assumptions.
