Apartment living can become especially difficult when noisy neighbors refuse to quiet down.
In this story, a woman had a newborn and was already exhausted after four days without sleep.
But her downstairs neighbor’s constant singing pushed her over the edge. Sometimes, they would sing for up to eight hours a day!
Frustrated, she stomped on the floor for two days. Then, after this, her packages began disappearing.
Whoa! Do you think it was just a coincidence, or was there foul play?

Worried, idk if neighbors are retaliating or plotting anything. Maybe I’m overthinking it.
I think my neighbor who lives below me stole my packages.
I stomped on the floor when I was trying to go to sleep after four days of no sleep due to giving birth.
I was exhausted and also experiencing postpartum anxiety.
This neighbor has been singing multiple times a week for months.
With some days extending as far as 8 hours of nonstop singing.
I dealt with it for months until I snapped and stomped two days in a row.
This woman noticed that their packages started disappearing.
Suddenly, my packages started disappearing, and I think it’s them. If it is, they have my name.
We haven’t seen each other, and we don’t know each other’s information other than where we live.
Now, someone has called my apartment unit from the intercom.
I’ve never had anyone call before from it, and I didn’t invite anyone over either.
I’m not the only one on the intercom, as my husband is on there, too.
She started hearing them slam the door and windows.
If it’s that neighbor, they have my name and now his. I’m honestly getting really scared.
The neighbor has been slamming their entry and balcony doors and windows.
And I can hear them slamming their kitchen cabinets and closet doors all throughout the day.
I have a newborn, and I’m living on edge.
I’ve tolerated them for months and only snapped due to postpartum anxiety. I wish I could tell them that.
Unfortunately, management wasn’t able to help them.
But it’s also not fair to have to suffer such awful singing voices for hours.
And the whole apartment complex can hear them, too.
It echoes out when their window is open, and it always is.
Management won’t do anything.

Ugh! This situation sounds stressful, especially with a newborn and severe sleep deprivation involved.
The missing packages and unexpected intercom call would understandably make OP nervous.
I think the best thing to do moving forward is to document everything and involve the proper authorities rather than confronting the neighbor herself.
