Deliberately Inconvenient Everyday Objects
The Uncomfortable is a collection of deliberately inconvenient everyday objects, designed by Athens based architect Katerina Kamprani. On her website she explains:
I decided to create and design for all the wrong reasons. Vindictive and nasty? Or a helpful study of everyday objects? The goal is to redesign useful objects making them uncomfortable but usable and maintain the semiotics of the original item.
You can find more ‘uncomfortable’ designs on Kamprani’s website and Facebook page. If you’re interested in prints, mugs, cases, etc. check out Katerina’s online store.
