Her Husband Begged Her for a Baby—Now He’s Always Traveling for “Work” While She Raises Their Child Totally Alone

Magnific
Tricking a woman into getting pregnant should be considered a crime.
Before they had a baby, a woman’s husband told her that he would be there for her and that he wouldn’t be taking so many work trips. But he lied.
Now she finds herself alone and away from family way more often than ideal, and he doesn’t seem to care.
Still, she’s wondering if she’s asking something absurd from him when she asks him to be at home more often.
What would you do in her situation? And what do you think about what he’s doing?

AITA for being upset that my husband keeps agreeing to overnight work trips after I told him I’m not okay being left alone with our baby?
My husband (31) and I (28f) have a 4-month baby and I’m currently the one home with him full time.
We live in Australia but my family is in the UK, so I don’t have anyone here to help.
Before we even had the baby I told my husband that I didn’t want a relationship where he travels away for work (at the time he was away 2x a year) especially with a newborn and no support around as he wanted a baby.
Note: He wanted a baby.
He reassured me it would be two nights every 3 months at most.
Recently his job started sending him interstate. At first he said it would just be occasional and maybe one night.
The first trip ended up being three nights, and now only a week later they’re asking him to go again for another two nights.
He definitely has leverage with the decision as it’s partly his idea and says he’s doing it to show commitment so they might pay him more in the future.
But right now it’s not actually extra money.
She expressed how inconvenient this was for her.
When I told him I wasn’t happy about it becoming a regular thing, he said other people at work have babies and still travel.
I pointed out that they have family nearby to help, whereas I don’t.
(This isn’t the most important point but he also likes to go out in the evenings with colleagues there understandably and I think that’s also why he isn’t against it).
He told me that it’ll be just one night a month.
But he is lying.
It’s clearly already more, and prior to the argument he said he might have to be there a week or two at a time… so I don’t believe his reassurance.
During the argument he basically told me “too bad.”
I got upset and said if this is how it’s going to be then maybe I should just go stay with my mum in the UK for support.
He got annoyed and walked off on me. I don’t want to feel more alone here than I already do.
She would be happier raising the baby far away from him, simple like that. But what did Reddit think?

He made it clear he doesn’t care about her.

Yup.

What is she waiting for to leave? He already left her.
She’s essentially a married single mother.
